I was born in Newcastle upon Tyne & played for a professional soccer club in England as a youth before developing myself as a coach and working towards my Level 1
FA Coaching Certificate. I have had a wealth of coaching education & developed my skills at Pannal Sports JFC for 3 years before moving onto the present committee.
Having previously coached at North Shields JFC for several years, I have worked with every kind of player, coach, parent, referee & board member within the club.
As a coach I have developed players at different ages, making it fun & within a controlled developmental structure. This has been a challenging position but very rewarding, keeping people enthusiastic about soccer & making them feel comfortable on the field. I have always tried hard to promote the importance of why it is necessary for coaching to be an important component of the game of soccer.
In August 2014 I was awarded the role of the Harrogate & District Junior Girls Football League Secretary. The League is affiliated to the West Riding County Football Association & has teams covering an area including Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ilkley, Bedale, Boroughbridge, Silsden, Scotton & Wetherby. We provide football for girls with teams from U10 to U18 participating each weekend.
